Giada has been offering tiny desktop computers in the US for the past few years, but now the company also wants in on the budget tablet space. Giada is showing off several new tablets at CES this week, which it hopes to bring to US retailers in the next few months.ramos w30 quad core
While pricing hasn't yet been finalized, the specs suggest these will be priced closed to the Kindle Fire than the Apple iPad.
Two of the more interesting tablets on display are the Giada I810 and Giada T820 tablets with 8 inch displays.
Giada I810
This model features an Allwinner A31 quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor and PowerVR SGX 544 graphics. It also packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which isn't bad at all for a budget tablet.chuwi v99 retina tablet
Still, the tablet didn't feel quite as zippy as a Nexus 7 with a Tegra 3 processor. Instead it felt a lot like the last tablet with an A31 chip that I handled — the Velocity Micro Cruz Q610.
The tablet runs Android 4.1 software, has a 5MP rear camera and a front-facing 2MP camera, HDMI output and a microSD card slot.
Giada T820
The company's other 8 inch tablet features a Rockchip RK3066 ARM Cortex-A9 dual core CPU and ARM Mali 400 graphics. That's a combination we've seen on a lot of Android tablets from Chinese manufacturers in the last year or so.ONDA V972
Like the I810, this tablet has 16GB of storage and 5MP and 2MP cameras — but it has just 1GB of RAM.
It also has HDMI and microSD card slots, but they're covered by a plastic door when they're not in use.

Personal computer makers, trying to beat back a tablet mania that's eating into their sales, are making what may be a last-ditch attempt to sway customers by mimicking the competition.Teclast A11
Many of the laptops to be unveiled around the world in coming months will be hybrids or "convertibles" - morphing easily between portable tablets and full-powered laptops with a keyboard, industry analysts say.
The wave of hybrids comes as Intel Corp and Microsoft Corp, long the twin leaders of the PC industry, prepare to report results this week and next. Wall Street is predicting flat to sluggish quarterly revenue growth for both, underscoring the plight of an industry that has struggled to innovate.
In 2013, some are hoping that will change.ONDA V812
With the release of Microsoft's touch-centric, re-imagined Windows 8 platform in October and more power-efficient chips from Intel, PC makers are trying to spark growth by focusing on creating slim laptops with touchscreens that convert to tablets and vice versa.
Microsoft, expanding beyond its traditional business of selling software, is expected this month to roll out a "Surface Pro" tablet compatible with legacy PC software developed over decades.
That's a major selling point for corporate customers like German business software maker SAP, which plans to buy Surface Pros for employees that want it, said SAP Chief Information Officer Oliver Bussmann.
"The hybrid model is very compelling for a lot of users," Bussmann told Reuters last week. "The iPad is not replacing the laptop. It's hard to create content. That's the niche that Microsoft is going after. The Surface can fill that gap."
Apple's iPad began chipping away at demand for laptops in 2010, an assault that accelerated with the launch of Amazon.com Inc's Kindle Fire and other Google Android devices like Samsung Electronics' Note.
With sales of PCs falling last year for the first time since 2001, this year may usher in a renaissance in design and innovation from manufacturers who previously focused on reducing costs instead of adding new features to entice consumers.
"People used to be able to just show up at the party and do well just because the market was going up," Lisa Su, a senior vice president at Advanced Micro Devices, which competes against Intel. "It's harder now. You can't just show up at the party. You have to innovate and have something special."sanei n10 tablet
At last week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, devices on display from Intel and others underscored the PC industry's plan to bet more on convertible laptops.
Lenovo's North America President Gerry Smith told Reuters last week that over the holidays he sold out of the company's "Yoga", a laptop with a screen that flips back behind its keyboard, and the "ThinkPad Twist", another lightweight laptop with a swiveling screen.
Intel itself showed off a hybrid prototype laptop dubbed "North Cape", housed in a thin tablet screen that attaches magnetically to a low-profile keyboard. And Asus showed a hefty 18-inch, all-in-one Windows 8 PC that converts to a tablet running Google's Android operating system.
Lenovo and Asus, which have both won positive reviews for their devices in recent months, increased their PC shipments by 14 percent and 17 percent respectively last year, according to Gartner.
"The number of unique systems that our partners have developed for Windows has almost doubled since launch. That gives an indication of how much innovation is going into the PC market," Tami Reller, chief financial officer of Microsoft's Windows unit, told Reuters.
FINGER-POINTING
To be sure, hybrids with detachable or twistable screens do not yet account for a significant proportion of global PC sales, and consumers still need to be sold on their benefits.
Previous attempts by PC makers to reinvigorate the market have had limited success. Pushed by Intel, manufacturers launched a series of slimmed down laptops early last year with features popular on tablets, like solid-state memory.
They were too expensive, often at more than $1,000 apiece, and failed to arrest the PC decline.
Microsoft's Windows 8 launch in October brought touchscreen features but failed to spark a resurgence in PC sales many manufacturers had hoped for. A round of finger-pointing ensued, with PC and chip executives blaming a shortage of touchscreen components and others saying it was the manufacturers that sharply underestimated consumer demand for touch devices.
Regardless, the entire PC ecosystem is onboard for 2013. Almost half of the Windows laptops rolled out this year may have touch screens. Of those, most will be in convertible form, according to IDC analyst David Daoud.
Further blurring the distinction between kinds of devices, about a quarter of upcoming Windows 8 gadgets will be tablets that can easily act as laptops with the help of keyboard accessories, he added.
But buyers may have to wait until the second half of the year to see many of them.
"The most likely scenario today is for the industry to have these products ready for the back-to-school season," Daoud said.

By the end of this month, Amazon's Kindle Fire may no longer be the cheapest "real" tablet out there. PC hardware manufacturer Asus, the brand name behind Google's Nexus 7 device, is coming out with another 7-inch tablet called the Asus MeMO Pad, which will start at $149. The MeMO Pad will launch in "selected markets" this January, and will make it to the United States sometime in April, according to Phandroid's Kevin Krause.(ramos w30 quad core)
Here's a look at the features the MeMO Pad has that the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 don't, and what got cut to bring it in under the $150 mark.
A look at the hardware

About the same size and shape as other 7-inch tablets, the MeMO Pad is powered by an underwhelming 1 GHz single-core processor from VIA, putting it roughly in line with a budget smartphone performance-wise. It has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of inteal storage, and basic features like a front-facing webcam and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The MeMO Pad will come in gray, white, and pink.
Jelly Bean under the hood
While the Kindle Fire runs Amazon's proprietary version of Android (which is so heavily modified as to basically be a "Kindle OS"), the MeMO Pad runs the same up-to-date version of Android as the Nexus 7, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Unlike with the Nexus device, however, which is loaded exclusively with Google apps to start with, Asus saw fit to bundle about a half-dozen (Window YuanDao N90FHD)of its own apps as well, like "SuperNote Lite" and "ASUS Studio."
Unlike the Kindle Fire, which can only buy apps from Amazon's store, the MeMO Pad will have the Google Play store (the former Android Market) preinstalled. It will be able to install the Amazon Appstore and Kindle app as well, just like other Android devices can.

Compared to other tablets
The device which compares closest, price-wise, to the MeMO Pad is Amazon's $159 Kindle Fire. For the price, you get half the RAM but a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, as well as another hour or so of battery life. The Kindle lacks the MeMO Pad's webcam or expandable memory, but the biggest tradeoff may be the Kindle's pure Amazon experience -- complete with ads on your homescreen -- versus the MeMO Pad's almost-pure Android.(CHUWI V99)

Asus' own Nexus 7 starts at $199 and lacks expandable memory, but for the price you get 16 GB of storage instead of 8. (That's more than double when you consider that Android and Asus' apps take up part of it.) It has a much sharper screen than the MeMO Pad, and a much more powerful Tegra 3 processor, which is capable of playing "THD" enhanced games. Finally, it has (more expensive) 3G options, and is available now instead of in April.

Experts said that the product is impressive, but it has certain drawbacks, which cover up its positives. It is now only that Vizio has started developing computers and it has already put its head into developing Windows 8 product.

Vizio only started making computers recently, but it's already getting into the Windows 8 slate market with a new 11.6-inch model. The idea behind the product is to offer an uncompromised Windows experience, a full HD display, and a fanless design. It achieved this by going with an AMD chip inside. The result is a solid Windows 8 tablet that we're interested to see once it comes out in the spring. However, there are some aspects that conce us.This tablet(ampe a10 tablet) is clearly a Vizio product and shares a lot of elements with the laptop line, from the ultra generic name – Vizio 11.6-inch Tablet PC featuring Windows 8 – to the somewhat sharp edges. Overall, the design looks quite nice; minimal but not bland. At 1.8 pounds, it's not too heavy for an 11-inch slate and the body is a thin 0.4 inches. We're also fans of the rubberized, soft touch back which helps with grip and comfort. Sadly, with the edges so sharp, it's not a completely comfortable tablet to hold. This can be an issue with aluminum frames, we know. Still, we'd love to see Vizio find a way to minimize this problem.Up front, the IPS display offers impressive viewing angles and color depth.

It goes perfectly with the full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution – watching video on this will be pretty sweet. Speakers sit on the sides of the unit and can be obscured by the hands, but you'll want to set it down for extended video sessions, anyway. The screen offers 10 points of touch and didn't seem too prone to smudges during our hands-on time.Vizio wanted to offer full Windows 8(Allwinner A31) and not Windows RT (and for that we're thankful) along with this high resolution and it wanted to go with a thin, fanless design. That took Intel's processors out of the running. Instead, the company is going with an AMD Z-60 APU backed by 2GB of RAM. This chip combines processor and a Radeon HD GPU in one, and this drives the 1080p display. AMD's performance doesn't always impress next to Intel, but for a tablet of this type the balance may be just right. This is very likely to be the case for the target audience. Though it runs full Windows 8, this tablet isn't for power users. There are only two ports, micro HDMI and Micro USB. Inteal storage tops out at 64GB on an SSDtablet pc quad core. Mainstream users who pull most of their data from the cloud will be fine with this setup.Vizio expects to start selling the 11.6-inch Tablet PC featuring Windows 8 around the end of March. It hasn't settled on pricing yet, so we'll have to wait until later this spring to find out how much it will cost.

If anything we are seeing at CES this year is that 4K is a buzzword, and that companies are going to bet all the tablets in 2013. It seems that traditional PCs(ICOO ICOU10GT Quad Core) are evolving to a smaller format and Panasonic demonstrated during his presentation at CES this year. Vizio's only been a PC manufacturer for a few months, and it's already diversifying its product lines. Today we got our first look at the new 11.6-inch Tablet with Windows 8 — now the smallest member of Vizio's PC lineup — and it's a bit of an oddity. The most striking feature is its gorgeous 1920 x 1080 display, which looks even sharper than normal on the smaller device — it's a really good screen,(exynos 4412 quad core )but it creates some consequences. Intel's processors simply couldn't power such a dense, high-res screen, Vizio CTO Matt McRae told us, so the company used AMD chips instead. The Tablet is powered by a dual-core, 1GHz Z-60 processor, which based on our time with the device does a pretty good job powering Windows 8.tablet pc quad core
Like all of Vizio's Windows devices, the 11.6-inch Tablet runs a completely clean version of the operating system — it's called the Windows Signature installation, and it's one of the best things Vizio does. The slate comes with 64GB of solid-state storage, 2GB of RAM, Micro HDMI and mMicro USB ports, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. We weren't overwhelmingly impressed with the build quality; the lipped bezel around the display makes the device feel like two pieces were fused together rather than like a single unibody device. The whole thing is surprisingly heavy, too, but its metallic and industrial design is pretty handsome.ampe a10
The 11.6-inch Tablet fits in nicely below the 14- and 15-inch laptops Vizio already offers, but it's not clear if its price will fit so well — the company is tightlipped about prices for the device. In what's certain to become a flood of Windows 8 tablets over the next few days, we'll see if 1080p and a non-Intel chip are enough for Vizio to stand out from the crowd.

Vizio, one of the top television makers in the U.S., entered the PC market with a bevy of sleek designs that echoed its television roots. Now, it wants to put out equally appealing Windows 8 tablets too.quad core cpu

The company, which has made tablets based on Google's GOOG +1.98% Android mobile operating system for the past couple of years, said it will be releasing a line of tablets based on Microsoft's MSFT -1.87% Windows 8 operating system, which is designed to work with both computers and tablets.

Rob Kermode, head of the Irvine, Calif., company's PC and mobile device efforts, acknowledged that Vizio's offerings were coming months after some other companies had released their Windows 8 tablets in late October. But, he said, Vizio chose to wait until the Consumer Electronics Show to make announcements because it was watching how customers would respond.

"We want to know what consumers want and what they're using," he said.

Vizio's Windows 8 tablets have screens that measure 11.6-inches diagonally and are powered by Advanced Micro AMD +4.02% Device's Z60 processor. This allows Vizio's tablet to run older programs on Windows 8, such as Apple's iTunes and Intuit's INTU +0.78% Quicken.YuanDao N90FHD

Microsoft's first PC, the Surface tablet, isn't capable of doing that because it uses a different microprocessing engine–based on technology from ARM Holdings ARM.LN -1.50%–and a software variant for such chips called Windows RT. That distinction, and its lack of compatibility with many older programs, is something Kermode said hampers the Surface's appeal.

"From an RT perspective, there are some things in terms of support of that ecosystem that raise questions," he said. "It's a lot more convoluted." By comparison, he said, customers won't be confused by his tablet's capabilities.

Another selling point, Vizio said, is that its computers don't have any other apps installed on them, like trial software and advertisements for other company's products. The tablet should be available within the next three months.

Vizio is also updating its computer line, which was first unveiled this time last year, and began shipping in the summer. Vizio's newest laptops sport the same sleek aluminum look, but now can carry AMD processors, the ability to display more advanced visually rich graphics, and touchscreens to interact with Windows 8.

Kermode said all of Vizio's computers going forward will have touchscreens to accommodate the new software and avoid confusion from customers who attempt to swipe their fingers across the screen.freelander price

The company also attempted to refine the laptop to respond to criticisms from the last year. In particular, he said the trackpads have new technology in them and battery life has been doubled, though he declined to say how long the computers now last.

"One of our challenges is how you balance these competing ideas with the thinnest and lightest computer and a beautiful screen," he said, adding that Vizio will focus on battery life and audio quality as two standout features for its devices.

At CES next week, Pervasive Group will give an official launch to two new apps for letting parents control the use of mobile devices by children and teens: MMGuardian Tablet Security for Android tablets(tablet pc quad core processor) and MMGuardian Premium for Android smartphones.
The apps will be demo'd during a Power Session on CES Press Day.
An MMGuardian Tablet Security app is already available on Google Play, along with the company's flagship MMGuardian app for smartphones, but MMGuardian Premium hasn't yet appeared in Google's online store.
The tablet app is aimed at letting parents set time limits on kids' use of tablets, block the use of specific apps (including the Android "Settings" app, if desired), and prevent kids from installing new apps.quad core android 4.1 tablets
A parent might allow a child to use the tablet during "play time," but not during homework time or late at night, for example. Time limits can also be set for the use of specific apps.
The existing MMGuardian tablet and smartphone apps both install on to the child's mobile device. Knowledge of an "admin password" set by the parent is needed for uninstalling the MMGuardian app.
The currently available smartphone app provides some additional features beyond those of the tablet app, giving parents the ability to control the app from their own phones through SMS text messaging, for instance.exynos 4412 ramos w30
In an FAQ on the company's Web site, Pervasive Group says that an iPhone app is also under development, but that it will have a "more limited set of features" than the Android smartphone one due to the characteristics of Apple's iOS API.

Future Tech 2013: The PCs, tablets and cutting-edge hardware of tomorrow
All-in-Ones and Desktop PCs 2
Predictions about what will happen at the end of the PC era have been floating around for years now, and they become more dramatic and more inaccurate with each claim. Why would desktops die off now, especially when they're becoming so cool?Freelander i20
Sure, drastic changes are afoot, and perhaps the desktops of the near future won't look at all similar to the desktops of the present. But change and evolution are facts of life in the tech industry, and adjusting to the new is a necessity.
All-in-one desktops were once seen as a luxury that couldn't possibly support the needs of the average computer user. They lined the walls in sci-fi movies and boasted futuristic-looking programs that had no disceible purpose. Today, they have become centerpieces for PC companies to showcase the glamorous side of desktop computing. Vizio, for example, strayed away from focusing on televisions and media players to create the new CA24-A2, a beautiful touch-enabled media marvel. Even so, many all-in-ones continued to ship with some coy apps and software installed—there are, after all, only so many ways you can pretend to paint; playing Tap-a-Mole gets old, and so does challenging someone to a spirited game of knock-off Pong.ICOO ICOU10GT
Cheaper and stronger with every new generation of processor, all-in-ones are becoming viable power PCs. In past years, you'd have been hard-pressed to find anything of decent quality even at $1500. Today you can find tons of options below $1000, allowing people everywhere to enjoy these models' benefits without breaking the bank. In the future, nearly all PCs will be equipped with a discrete graphics card to power basic games at an adequate frame rate, and they will boast such built-in media capabilities as Blu-ray and video-on-demand apps.

In addition, more families will adopt PCs as their center for entertainment, with touch controls that every user can access easily, regardless of PC experience level. PCs will migrate away from the dark, lonely coers of home offices and storm into living rooms, kitchens, and other main gathering areas to provide endless family enjoyment in the form of streamed movies, television, creative applications, and games.Ramos W30
The conventional desktop systems of today—the tower units that are either parked under a desk or displayed prominently like a show car—will remain popular with certain niche groups (such as gamers and business owners, at opposite ends of the PC user spectrum). They will remain the cheapest option for basic computing and office-oriented productivity when glamor and graphical power aren't necessary. Physically, however, they will begin to shrink. Indeed, just this past year, we've seen business computers dwindle to the size of a shoebox, and some models, such as the Lenovo ThinkCentre M92P, can even be mounted under a desk in a space-saving hiding spot.

Enthusiasts' computers, on the other hand, will continue to grow to the size of a minifridge to accommodate extra video cards and water-cooling equipment. Some of them will glow and shine with custom paint jobs and interior lighting, modified to become impressive works of art. The Digital Storm Aventum is one such product that takes pride in its size and crushing weight—it almost doubles as a table for a family room. They will be proudly displayed next to a desk bearing multiple monitors and enough gear to make it look like a space cruiser's command deck. My biggest hope is that games of the future will be able to catch up to the power that some computer enthusiasts will be wielding.
The future of desktops is bright and ongoing, no matter what radical claims to the contrary are made. Though most people may resort more frequently to their phones and tablets to get work done quickly on the go, true computing power will continue to come from that thing plugged into a wall.

2012 was a tough year for computer manufacturers. Consumer interest in computers waned due to the economy,(quad core cpu) rise in alteative mobile devices like tablets and the fact that software runs just fine on systems that are just a couple of years old. There were some significant changes in the market including the major price drops in solid state drives that have improved the performance of systems either through(Ramos W30) direct storage or caching. The net results is that many computer system prices have dropped significantly and retailers are likely going to be dropping prices to try and clear out inventories for 2013.

As the guys from 'The Verge' report, the electronics company Acer is planning a new tablet in the lower price segment. To be precise, even equal to Acer plan two different models, and the largest difference between the two devices to be used in the mobile OS.Because in addition to Android(CUBE U9GT) Acer also rely on Windows 8, and therefore rely on two completely different platforms. Unfortunately, so far no technical details about the devices known, but the sale price is to be at low $ 99 and therefore probably should be clear that not the latest hardware will be installed.Acer developed the affordable units under the code name B1, but still no release date is known.Window YuanDao N90FHD

It applies only to be quite sure that Acer will launch the B1 in the coming year in the trade. The counterparty ASUS has naturally reacted immediately to the appropriate message and can announce that ASUS Tablet(CHUWI V99) no plane in this price range. Thus Acer would probably have the only company currently a tablet for around $ 100 in the portfolio. Probably remains the only question left open the installed hardware and can help resolve this is probably only with the official presentation.

Taipei, Dec. 26, 2012 (CENS)--Driven by hot-selling Amazon's Kindle Fire and Google's Nexus 7, Quanta Computer Inc., the world's largest laptop contract manufacturer by shipment, is confident of achieving annual shipment of over 15 million tablet PCs in 2012, double the figure for 2011,(ampe a10 quad core) according to the president C.C. Liang, who furthered that the company's tablet PC shipment will keep surging in 2013. Institutional investors said that Quanta is expected to ship 19 million tablet PCs in 2013, 26% more than 2012, to consolidate its leading status in the global supply chain of non-iPad models. With some brand vendors, including Acer and Asus, reported to launch tablet PCs at extremely low unit prices of under US$99 in 2013 to trigger throat-cutting competition, Liang opines that success of such pricing strategies remains to be seen, for low selling prices will compromise technological specifications of tablet PCs, given the fact that current production costs have hit the bottom to reduce.CUBE U9GT

Meanwhile, Liang also expresses his conservative outlook for the global market for laptops in 2012. He said that his company may fail to accomplish the 5% annual shipment growth goal for 2012, partly because the launch of Microsoft's new operating system Windows 8 fails to stimulate consumer demand for new PC (YuanDao N90FHD)replacements as significantly as expected before. In lieu of a persistently slack market, Liang stressed that innovation is definitely needed to revive consumer demand, so his company has actively teamed up with customers on developing new laptop models with innovative functionality, such as thinner exterior design and touchscreen. Worth mentioning is that Liang confirmed that he will take part in the next Inteational Consumer Electronics Show slated for January 8-13, 2013, in Las Vegas, in efforts to meet customers personally.

Acer is betting big on all categories of tablets. If Windows 8 have presented an interesting Iconia W510 – talk about it soon – do not forget that we have many models of tablets with Android system.Sanei N10

One that will arrive soon is the Acer Iconia Tab A220, which has recently begun to appear in one of those records benchmarks and promises to be a pretty decent tablet at a price that, although has not been unveiled, should be adjusted. Do not expect a pointer to the best tablet on the market, it seems that Acer will not fight in those terms if not more in a medium quality at a better price for the user.ampe a10
According filtered features in GL Benchmark results would be facing an NVidia Tegra 3 processor a T30L with four cores and a frequency of 1.3 GHz, the same used in other tablets as Nexus 7 Tablet Sony Xperia S or previous Acer Iconia Tab A210. In view of the model name should be facing a 10.1-inch screen confirming the resolution, as the benchmark a mere 1280 × 752 pixels. The code name of the device and move picasso_e3 Acer Android 4.1.2, but since it is most likely a prototype it is quite likely that its release is a later version.freelander price

Acer A220 has all the earmarks of to be a cheap tablet. In view of the size and resolution of the screen and use NVidia Tegra 3, a platform and more than overused that takes several months on the market with more and more acceptance. It is true that there are currently more powerful alteatives to this tablet, but in principle a product is good enough for the users. Not saying it's the best, far from it, but convenient for those looking for good technology at a relatively good price. Any estimate of the cost? Considering that the Nexus 10 cost around 400 euros, Acer Iconia Tab A220 will obviously below that figure but above the price of many models of 7 inches.
